Individual rationality plays a central role in modern economic theory, while how to measure rationality has been quite challenging. In particular, whether the rationality measured in different domains is stable or not is an open question. Combining consumers’ purchase data from a large supermarket chain and their choice in a survey experiment, we directly examine three important questions for rationality measurements: (1) external validity: can rationality measured in the survey experiment successfully predict consumers’ actual purchase behaviour; (2) cross validity: is rationality exhibited in risk preference consistent with that in social preference? (3) What leads to these asymmetric patterns of consistency.
主講人簡(jiǎn)介:
劉瀟, 清華大學(xué)經(jīng)管學(xué)院長(zhǎng)聘副教授,本科畢業(yè)于中國人民大學(xué)信息學(xué)院,后前往美國密歇根大學(xué)安娜堡分校獲得信息學(xué)博士學(xué)位,畢業(yè)后任職于清華經(jīng)管學(xué)院至今。她的主要研究興趣包括實(shí)驗(yàn)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、行為經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、市場(chǎng)設(shè)計(jì)和信息經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)。目前擔(dān)任三本國際期刊Management Science,Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization,Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics的副主編(Associate Editor)。她的研究成果不但發(fā)表在經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)和管理學(xué)頂尖期刊上,如Management Science、Games and Economic Behavior、Journal of Development Economics等期刊,同時(shí)還發(fā)表在機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)和人工智能的頂會(huì)上,如國際數(shù)據(jù)挖掘與知識(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)大會(huì)(KDD)、國際人工智能聯(lián)合會(huì)議(IJCAI)等。
