Philip Shapira，佐治亞理工公共政策學院教授和曼徹斯特大學商學院創新研究中心教授。Shapira教授的研究領域包括科技政策，經濟和區域發展，創新管理和政策，產業競爭力，技術演化與評估，創新測量和政策評估。Shapira教授目前負責的項目包括納米技術研究和創新系統評估研究項目（亞利桑那州立大學社會納米技術中心的一部分）以及組織對高度創造性科學研究的影響項目。Shapira教授現已公開發表50多篇期刊文章，出版30本書籍，眾多政策方面的研究等。Shapira教授還是佐治亞理工學院經濟發展創新論壇的創始人之一，該論壇匯聚了教職員工，學生，經濟開發者和決策者，討論經濟發展和創新政策的先進理念和實踐。
講座內容簡介：
Research universities are establishing new nodes in global knowledge and people exchange networks through institutionalizing research centers and partnerships outside of their home countries. Over 400 international university research ventures (IURVs) have been identified as part of a research project that is mapping the global development of IURVs. This presentation considers the emergence and institutionalization of IURVs, drawing on a landscape analysis of available online data as well as case study research. Implications and challenges of IURV growth for knowledge production, human capital, international development, and university trajectories are explored.
