主講人簡介:
Zuo-jun(Max)Shen,美國西北大學(xué)工業(yè)工程與管理科學(xué)博士,現(xiàn)任美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校工業(yè)工程與運(yùn)籌學(xué)系教授。主要從事集成供應(yīng)鏈設(shè)計(jì)與管理、優(yōu)化算法的設(shè)計(jì)、分析決策等方面的研究工作。主持并參與多項(xiàng)美國國家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目,曾獲2003年度美國國家自然科學(xué)基金CAREER Award、2008年度美國INFORMS協(xié)會(huì)Chuck ReVelle Rising Star Award等獎(jiǎng)勵(lì),出版了多部專著,并在《Operations Research》、《Management Science》等國際頂級學(xué)術(shù)期刊上發(fā)表論文50余篇。現(xiàn)任美國INFORMS協(xié)會(huì)多個(gè)分會(huì)的主席或委員,《Operations Research》、《Naval Research Logistics》和《IIE Transactions》副主編,《Production and Operations Management》資深副主編和幾家雜志的編委。
內(nèi)容簡介:
Dynamic pricing is preferred to flat-rate in the SmartGrid. This preference leads to the exploration of demand response (DR) mechanisms. Since a great portion of electricity is consumed by HVAC activities, this paper studies the performance of three types of thermostats for SmartGrid. We model these thermostats and compare their performance both theoretically and via numerical simulations. We demonstrate the benefits of having smart thermostats and obtain economical insights for policy makers.
